Oct 2006 - BLAIR BREAKS THROUGH THE 1000 LB. BARRIER IN UTAH

The weather at UGPG weigh off was cold and wet but excitement filled the air as Kenny Blair’s pumpkin was moved toward the scale. The crowd roared when m/c Larry Sagers announced 1104 lbs., a new Utah State Record and the first pumpkin ever grown in Utah over 1000 lbs. The humongous pumpkin blew away the old record by almost 200 lbs. Congratulations go out to Kenny for his 1104 lb. monster! Kenny grew his pumpkin off the 1247 Handy 2003 seed.
